Statistical Programming:
Statistical programming is done to design programs which takes numerical or text data and produce statistical data as output. Statistics is a mathematical science related to the collection, analysis, interpretation or explanation, and presentation of data. Statistics are collected automatically by software on the webserver for the purpose of determining the usefulness of the content we provide and to provide an indication of where additional content may be useful. It is applicable for number of academic disciplines, from the physical and social sciences to the humanities. Statistics are also used for making informed decisions - in all areas of business and government.
Generally, it is used by market researchers, health researchers, survey companies, government, education researchers and others. In addition to statistical analysis, data management and data documentation are features of the base software.
Statistics included in the base software:
- Descriptive statistics:Descriptive statistics are used to define the general features of the data. They provide briefs about the sample and the measures. With simple graphics analysis, they form the basis of virtually every quantitative analysis of data. It is used for Cross tabulation, Frequencies, Descriptives, Explore, Descriptive Ratio Statistics. Each descriptive statistic reduces lots of data into a simpler summary.
- Bivariate statistics: It is a statistic mathematics with two variables. various methods used for bivariate statistics are: Means, t-test, ANOVA, Correlation , Nonparametric tests.
- Prediction for numerical outcomes: Linear regression. It is used to pridict the state of graphical figues by analysing the numerical outcomes.
- Prediction for identifying groups: Methods used to predict for identification of groups are: Factor analysis, cluster analysis , Discriminant.
